Paragon Insurance Holdings, a specialized MGA, is currently seeking an Insurance Underwriting Support Specialist. This role is essential in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting our Underwriting Team, Brokers, and Carrier Partners. Our competitive edge lies in our exceptional talent, advanced systems, and in-depth market knowledge.

The Insurance Underwriting Support Specialist will operate on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in underwriting tasks including the setup of new business and renewal policies, account coordination, report procurement, data gathering, and follow-up on information.
  • Request Loss Runs as needed.
  • Issue Binders and manage Invoicing processes.
  • Maintain Production Logs for the Underwriting department.
  • Conduct Quality Control checks on policies.
  • Input account data into the MGA management system accurately.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in rating and policy issuance according to binding conditions.
  • Address various inquiries from Agents and Underwriters through both phone and written communication.
  • Organize account documentation, including proposals and internal risk assessment documents.
  • Handle a high volume of transactions efficiently.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the property and casualty insurance sector, with a focus on Policy Service in Commercial Lines. Familiarity with agency management systems and policy rating and issuance systems such as IMS or Insurity Policy Decisions is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A High School Diploma is required; a college degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
