Job Overview

Clean Harbors is looking for a Mobile Environmental Project Supervisor. The Project Supervisor plays a crucial role in directing and overseeing teams in the field on various projects. This role involves managing activities at client locations and assisting with onsite initiatives, requiring significant travel.

Essential Qualifications:

Experience in civil or environmental remediation, particularly with soil-related projects, is essential.

Location: Remote opportunities available

Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience, along with a per diem of $55 per night. All travel expenses, including round-trip flights, are fully covered.

Time Off: Enjoy 6 weeks of work followed by 7 days of paid leave.

Travel Information: Daily per diem, competitive hourly pay rates, and all travel costs are covered by the company. Typical schedule includes 6 weeks on-site followed by 1 week at home.

Join a dedicated team focused on the safe execution of large-scale remediation, environmental construction, and waste management projects across the nation and internationally. Collaborate with a diverse customer base, including regulatory bodies, government agencies, and military organizations. Work alongside industry experts from various sectors, including sales, landfill operations, incineration, transportation, and local offices, utilizing the company's comprehensive approach to project management and customer service. Lead teams consisting of foremen, equipment operators, and other specialists. Travel to various locations to engage with clients and field staff, witnessing projects firsthand. Benefit from support from administrative staff, senior management, and other teams. All travel to and from your home airport and project sites is covered. Additional annual reimbursement is available for maintaining specific licenses, including a drone pilot's license. You can reside anywhere in the continental United States while traveling to various sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures, and by acting safely at all times;
  • Engage with clients as necessary to ensure satisfaction and address any outstanding issues;
  • Participate in collaborative calls with specialists as needed, maintaining a professional demeanor;
  • Keep certifications for confined space supervision and emergency response current;
  • Manage large-scale field service and emergency response projects as directed;
  • Coordinate with the team to communicate manpower, equipment, and resources needed for projects;
  • Act as the on-call coordinator as required;
  • Oversee projects to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, profitability, and professionalism;
  • Address Health and Safety concerns related to assigned projects, reviewing operational procedures to ensure proper action plans are in place;
  • Respond promptly when on-call or arrange for appropriate coverage, informing supervisors of any changes;
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Health and Safety regulations;
  • Report work-related accidents or incidents to immediate supervisors in a timely manner;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Experience in civil or environmental remediation projects is required;
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred;
  • Training in emergency response supervision and marine spill response preferred;
  • Understanding of scoping and pricing for field service work;
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations;
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment;
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications;
  • 3-5 years of experience in remediation or similar fields preferred;
  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental field service operations preferred;
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience preferred;
  • Willingness to travel as required.
