PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Oversees the activities of regular staff and temporary personnel. Evaluates production schedules and labor requirements for task completion. Interprets company policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Enforces safety standards. Analyzes production methods, performance, and efficiency for potential enhancements. Prepares performance evaluations for associates and aids in the review process. Establishes time and production benchmarks and maintains relevant records. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset is essential, demonstrating the ability to persist and take initiative to ensure high performance, quality, and service.
COMPENSATION:
The base salary range for this position is between $66,560 and $75,150, influenced by factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. This range is just one aspect of the total compensation package, which may vary by position and location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directs hourly staff to guarantee the timely and precise processing and distribution of merchandise.
Utilizes the MAP (Managing Associate Performance) framework to train, assess, motivate, coach, and evaluate associates across all job functions using established methods and standards.
Ensures efficient and accurate movement and processing of merchandise through established methods.
Organizes and prioritizes daily tasks and staffing requirements to achieve production objectives.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work for all assigned associates.
• Cultivates a positive team culture that recognizes both individual and collective performance while maintaining a harmonious work environment.
Develops and sustains strong working relationships with other supervisors, merchandise managers, and human resources.
Conducts daily meetings to communicate important updates and priorities.
Facilitates training sessions on topics such as safety, human resources, and new processes as needed.
Implements policies and safety regulations, providing appropriate feedback to manage safe working practices.
• Conducts performance-related meetings with associates, adhering to company policies, including the separation process when necessary.
• Manages all administrative functions for the designated area.
Conducts interviews for job applicants and makes hiring decisions.
Prepares evaluations and administers reviews with support from management.
Maintains daily documentation, including time and production records.
Assists merchandise processors with documentation and troubleshooting.
• Provides updates to management regarding production planning and area needs.
• Additional responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor's degree or two years of supervisory experience in a production or merchandising environment is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational and prioritization abilities, are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across various shifts and departments are required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse setting, on a concrete surface for extended periods.
Continuous standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling are necessary.
Regular attendance and punctuality are crucial.
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, talking, and handling objects, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements include the ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This position necessitates full-time in-office presence for team interactions, meetings, collaboration, and mentoring.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees hourly associates in various roles, including but not limited to Checker, Marker, Packer, Material Handler, and Loader.
