We are currently seeking a Temporary DMV Specialist to enhance our team of DMV professionals at Firefighters First Credit Union (FFCU). The role involves reviewing loan documentation for precision and thoroughness, managing title and tax paperwork for state registration, and keeping our members updated on their application status. DMV specialists are also responsible for researching titles, addressing payoff inquiries, conducting title release follow-ups, ensuring title perfection, reconciling DMV records, and confirming FFCU's security interests in vehicle portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy and processing of all documents required for state registration, including vehicle sales, purchase prices, taxes, and titles.
  • Oversee and manage documentation for lien filings and releases, while handling unperfected lien volumes.
  • Process loan payments, insurance inquiries, fulfillment requests, and payoffs efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain both physical and digital company records.
  • Assist members and relevant stakeholders with inquiries regarding loan and registration documents, outstanding balances, payment details, and other vehicle loan-related matters.
  • Detect and address potential fraud.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Engage in special projects and undertake additional duties as required.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, conferences, training, or other work-related activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a DMV title specialist, DMV title examiner, or similar role.
