Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Administration Paralegal to join our dedicated legal team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys with estate administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal applicant will have a comprehensive understanding of probate processes, exceptional organizational abilities, and the aptitude to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the complete estate administration process from initiation to conclusion.
  • Draft and file probate documents, requests, and necessary court forms.
  • Facilitate communication with courts, clients, beneficiaries, and other involved parties.
  • Conduct detailed legal research on probate laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Evaluate complex legal issues related to estate administration and provide strategic guidance.
  • Review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
  • Prepare correspondence, affidavits, and other legal documents as required.
  • Engage with clients to gather essential information and keep them informed about the estate administration process.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and understanding.
  • Manage the oversight of estate assets, including financial accounts, real estate, and personal property.
  • Collaborate with financial institutions, appraisers, and other professionals involved in the estate settlement process.
  • Ensure adherence to estate administration laws at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Work alongside attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to improve workflow efficiency and ensure effective case management.
Qualifications:

Educational Background and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Additional certification in estate planning or administration is a plus.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an estate administration paralegal.
  • Proven track record in managing complex estate administration cases.

Skills:

  • Expertise in legal research, document preparation, and case management.
  • Strong knowledge of probate laws and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Technological Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with legal case management software, particularly Clio and/or NetDocuments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
