Your Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our finance department, you will engage in various accounting and financial reporting tasks, including:
- Processing all corporate invoices
- Ensuring all invoices have the necessary documentation and approvals before payment
- Managing check requests and urgent payment needs
- Auditing and reconciling credit card statements
- Matching invoices with checks, securing required signatures, and distributing checks
- Addressing vendor inquiries
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation in line with company policies and accounting standards
- Providing assistance to the CFO
- Preparing Forms 1099 and keeping vendor Forms W-9 current
- Processing commercial tenant payments
- Generating invoices
- Handling intercompany billing
- Supporting the timely monthly financial close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and management of operational accounts
- Creating special financial reports as requested by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred; a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required
- Familiarity with Yardi and QuickBooks is advantageous but not essential
- Demonstrated strong work ethic
- Highly organized and proactive
- Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and basic knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and vendors
