Your Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our finance department, you will engage in various accounting and financial reporting tasks, including:

  • Processing all corporate invoices
  • Ensuring all invoices have the necessary documentation and approvals before payment
  • Managing check requests and urgent payment needs
  • Auditing and reconciling credit card statements
  • Matching invoices with checks, securing required signatures, and distributing checks
  • Addressing vendor inquiries
  • Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation in line with company policies and accounting standards
  • Providing assistance to the CFO
  • Preparing Forms 1099 and keeping vendor Forms W-9 current
  • Processing commercial tenant payments
  • Generating invoices
  • Handling intercompany billing
  • Supporting the timely monthly financial close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and management of operational accounts
  • Creating special financial reports as requested by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred; a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required
  • Familiarity with Yardi and QuickBooks is advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and basic knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and vendors
