Location DescriptionOur Gaylord, Minnesota location is situated in the heart of Minnesota's Healthy Heartland region. The area offers a unique blend of natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions. Our facility is easily accessible from major highways and is within a short drive from the Twin Cities and other nearby cities.
Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring seamless coordination with Production Supervisors, leads, and operators.
- Coordinate repairs, labor, and resources, as well as requisition repair parts to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Schedule Non-Union labor for routine scheduled and overtime work, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Approve Vacation and PPT requests, promoting work-life balance and employee satisfaction.
- Provide regular reviews of direct staff, fostering growth and development within the team.

- Supervise maintenance crew members, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Oversee the operation of Boiler and Refrigeration Equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Responsible for forklift maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Provide a safe work environment for employees, recognizing and addressing potential hazards.
- Recognize and resolve operating problems, minimizing their impact on operations.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including timecards, downtime records, and absentee records.
- Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner, promoting a positive work culture.
- Encourage employee suggestions for improving production, quality, safety, and cost control.
- Communicate relevant information to employees, ensuring seamless handovers and transitions.
- Communicate process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and GMP issues to Production Supervisors and Sanitation Supervisors.
- Perform general cleaning of equipment and maintain good housekeeping throughout the department, adhering to the daily sanitation checklist.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained.
- Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including recruiting, training, and developing maintenance staff in multiple disciplines.
- Actively lead and participate in Maintenance Reliability and CI projects.
