We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Interface with production supervisors and operators to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Coordinate repairs, labor, and resources to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to prevent equipment failures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
- Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including timecards, downtime records, and absentee records
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering, or 3+ years of maintenance experience
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance management experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
- Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations, government environmental and safety regulations
- Refrigerated foods processing and packaging experience
- Food safety and sanitation principles (GMP, SQF) knowledge
- State and Federal rules and regulations (USDA, FDA, OSHA, etc.) knowledge
