Position Overview

Role: Graphic Designer


Reports to: Fine Arts Director


Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, 27 hours per week, 12-Month, 3.5 Days Per Week, with occasional evening and weekend events as necessary.


Candidate Profile: We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer who possesses a deep enthusiasm for design and excels in crafting captivating, brand-aligned visuals across diverse formats. The ideal candidate should be a collaborative and adaptable team member who enjoys working closely with internal partners and has a forward-thinking mindset towards creative implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing graphics for various applications including apparel, digital media (advertisements, emails, social media, websites), marketing materials (brochures, flyers, postcards, posters), playbills, PowerPoint presentations, and signage (both outdoor and indoor).
  • Managing design projects from initiation to completion, presenting concepts to stakeholders, and integrating feedback into final designs.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, particularly in the areas of project estimation and proofing.
  • Overseeing the organization of a stock media library, including the categorization and filing of images and videos.
  • Developing visual concepts based on project requirements.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of all design projects.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in design.
  • Evaluating and enhancing creative outputs for optimal performance and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of design experience in an agency setting or as an in-house designer for a corporation or non-profit.
  • At least 2 years of proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • A portfolio demonstrating a wide range of design experience and creative abilities.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary design best practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
