Position Overview

Role: Graphic Designer


Reports to: Fine Arts Director


Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, 27 hours per week, 12-Month, 3.5 Days Per Week, with occasional evening and weekend events as necessary.


Candidate Profile: We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer with a strong enthusiasm for design and a proven ability to produce captivating, brand-aligned visuals across various formats. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and adaptable team member who excels in working with internal partners and possesses a forward-thinking approach to creative implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create graphics for apparel, digital platforms (including advertisements, emails, social media, websites), marketing materials (such as brochures, flyers, postcards, posters), playbills, PowerPoint presentations, and signage (both outdoor and indoor).
  • Manage design projects from initiation to completion, presenting work to stakeholders and integrating feedback into final deliverables.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, particularly in requesting project estimates and during the proofing process.
  • Oversee the organization of a stock media library, ensuring proper categorization and filing of photos and videos.
  • Develop visual concepts based on project requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in design.
  • Evaluate and enhance creative work for optimal performance and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of design experience in an agency setting or as an in-house designer for a corporation or non-profit.
  • At least 2 years of proficiency in design software including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • A comprehensive portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative skills.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary design best practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
