Fire Operations Supervisor

Total Safety U.S., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our fire protection team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fire protection services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate daily/weekly schedules and operating priorities for assigned team members to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor labor reports and ensure that team members are meeting or exceeding production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC, safety, environmental, and cost of operations goals and other performance and P&L metrics.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve health and safety goals, and proactively identify and address safety and environmental issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and daily status reports to ensure the readiness of tools and equipment.
  • Work with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal departments to communicate and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure that all documentation and data entry associated with inspection and repair is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare and submit reports and communication in a timely manner.
  • Partner with human resources to manage employee relations, including hiring, firing, performance evaluation, salary, and job change actions.
  • Develop and implement procedures for assigned operations, and assist with establishing work standards for assigned areas.
  • Assist with planning and implementing short and long-term departmental goals and objectives, including staffing, equipment needs, problem prevention, corrective action programs, and continuous improvement of fire services standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • At least five (5) years of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery, or related industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance, with a safe driving record and insurability for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company trucks.
  • Willingness to travel to customers' sites and availability for short and long-term out-of-town and/or offshore projects.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC card and other safety-related badges/certifications as needed.
  • Thorough knowledge of Total Safety products and services in assigned area, with State Fire Marshal licenses for appropriate areas of service and NICET level II certification in the appropriate area(s).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and other database software, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications utilized by the company.
  • Commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, safety and health, and other company policies and procedures.
  • High ethical standards, demonstrated by their approach to business.
  • Leadership and ability to coordinate resources to achieve maximum profitability, efficiency, and utilization.
  • Understanding and effective management of key financial issues that impact service and operations functions and the business.
  • Experience with budget preparation and cost control.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, effective, complete, and easily understood written communications and reports.
  • Proficiency in the care and use of all site-specific, facility, and customer-required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Trained in Respiratory Protection and fully certified to wear respiratory breathing equipment (Fit Tested).
  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
Working Environment:

Combination of office, shop, indoor, and outdoor industrial environments. May be frequently exposed to cold, hot, wet, humid, outside weather conditions, and vibration. Works in customer environment. May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Educational Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree in science or technical area strongly preferred.
