SUMMARY

EMCOR Government Services is a recognized leader in the service industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and operational excellence. We are seeking a full-time Plumbing Service Technician to execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshoot and service commercial and industrial plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will be organized, maintain accurate service records, and communicate effectively to assess client needs. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to foster customer relationships, and team collaboration. As a 24/7 service provider, the position may necessitate working beyond standard hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install replacement components and parts according to manufacturer specifications to uphold warranties.
  • Perform plumbing preventive maintenance in line with established protocols.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and repair plumbing fixtures.
  • Execute rough plumbing installations for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, service logs, and purchase card records.
  • Participate in general tasks such as safety training, team meetings, and upkeep of tools and vehicles (if applicable).
  • Be prepared to work overtime as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience with commercial or industrial systems.
  • Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and a courteous demeanor towards clients.
  • Ability to interpret plumbing blueprints, safety policies, and procedural manuals.
  • Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective presentation skills in both individual and small group settings.
  • Knowledge of plumbing roughing in a commercial context.
  • Basic mathematical skills across all units of measure.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics, as well as specification manuals.
