SUMMARY
EMCOR Government Services is a prominent entity in the plumbing sector, recognized for its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Service Technician to engage in preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and servicing of commercial and industrial plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will be organized, capable of maintaining precise service records, and proficient in effective communication to assess customer needs. This role requires leadership skills and the ability to foster strong customer relationships while working collaboratively within a team. Availability for overtime may be necessary due to the nature of our 24/7 service operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Install replacement components and parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications to uphold warranties.
- Conduct plumbing preventive maintenance following established standards.
- Diagnose, analyze, and repair plumbing fixtures efficiently.
- Execute roughing of plumbing systems for both commercial and residential projects.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, service reports, and purchase card logs.
- Participate in general tasks such as safety training, team meetings, and upkeep of tools and vehicles (if applicable).
- Be prepared to work overtime as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, specifically with commercial or industrial systems.
- Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and a courteous demeanor towards customers.
- Ability to interpret plumbing blueprints, safety policies, and procedural manuals.
- Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in both individual and small group settings.
- Knowledge of plumbing roughing in a commercial context.
- Basic mathematical skills across all units of measure.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals.
