SUMMARY

EMCOR Government Services is a recognized leader in the service industry, providing comprehensive plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection solutions. We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Service Technician to carry out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and servicing of plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills to maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients to assess their needs. This role requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and teamwork, with the possibility of working over 40 hours a week as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install replacement parts and equipment according to manufacturer specifications to uphold warranties.
  • Perform plumbing preventive maintenance in line with established standards.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and repair plumbing fixtures.
  • Execute rough plumbing installations for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, service reports, and purchase logs.
  • Participate in general tasks such as safety training, team meetings, and upkeep of tools and vehicles.
  • Be available for overtime work as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing systems.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a courteous approach to customer service.
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing blueprints, safety policies, and procedural manuals.
  • Capability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective presentation skills in both individual and small group settings.
  • Knowledge of plumbing roughing in a commercial context.
  • Basic mathematical skills across various units of measure.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical schematics, as well as specification manuals.
