SUMMARY

EMCOR Government Services is a recognized leader in the plumbing industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and performance. We are seeking a full-time Plumbing Service Technician responsible for executing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and servicing commercial and industrial plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will be organized, maintain accurate service records, and communicate effectively to assess client needs. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer relationship management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility for overtime may be necessary as we operate around the clock.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install replacement parts and equipment according to manufacturer specifications to uphold warranties.
  • Perform plumbing preventive maintenance in line with established protocols.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and repair plumbing fixtures.
  • Execute roughing of plumbing systems for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, service reports, and purchase logs.
  • Engage in general tasks such as safety training, team meetings, and upkeep of tools and vehicles (if applicable).
  • Availability to work overtime as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and a courteous demeanor towards clients.
  • Ability to interpret plumbing blueprints, safety policies, and procedural manuals.
  • Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information in individual and small group settings.
  • Knowledge of plumbing roughing in a commercial context.
  • Basic mathematical skills across all units of measure.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals.
