Job Description

The Medical Interpreter Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position requires a high level of linguistic and cultural expertise, as well as strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers in a clinical setting
  • Coordinate interpreter services for Temple Health facilities
  • Triage and prioritize scheduling requests for service
  • Deploy staff interpreters and arrange for vendor interpreters as needed
  • Assist with training and coaching of new medical interpreters
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 1 Year experience as a formally trained, tested medical interpreter (Required)
  • General Experience communicating in English and target language (Bilingual) (Required)
  • General Experience in healthcare (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • CMI - Certified Medical Interpreter (Preferred)
