Job Title: Medical Education Coordinator

Penn Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating future healthcare leaders. As a Medical Education Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the department's residency and fellowship programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day activities and initiatives of the program, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Update and maintain residency program data in various systems, including MedHub, GME Track, and ABA.
  • Provide reporting and analysis related to accreditation, education activities, and program requirements.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison with the GME office and other support offices to ensure continued program compliance.
  • Attend monthly GME coordinator conferences to stay current on policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement new processes and assess current protocols to improve program efficiency.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of ACGME requirements and Penn Medicine GME and OMA policies.
  • Facilitate equipment ordering, trainee reimbursement, and division-related invoices.
  • Coordinate functions relating to house staff on-boarding, licensing, orientation, and trainings.
  • Establish program-specific policies and procedures for candidate recruitment and facilitate residency interviews.
  • Coordinate graduation and year-end reporting for residents and fellows.
  • Maintain proficiency in MedHub trainee management suite and ensure data is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Generate various reports as requested.
  • Coordinate divisional continuing medical education series and undergraduate medical education, including URiM visiting students.
  • Assist in the fiscal oversight of the education program operational budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organization Development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Graduate Medical Education or Executive-Level Administration.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, candidates with 7+ years of total relevant experience will be considered.
