Travel Requirements: This role requires 100% travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a thorough understanding of market dynamics, occupancy rates, average daily rates, and overall revenue performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive landscapes beyond the immediate area.
  • Understand the operational capabilities and constraints of the hotel and its departments that may influence sales strategies.
  • Execute sales policies and procedures as outlined in the annual marketing strategy.
  • Conduct personal sales outreach.
  • Innovate and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Build and sustain relationships with local business organizations and tourism boards.
  • Meet and surpass individual and team sales targets as set forth in the annual marketing plan.
  • Have a deep understanding of room merchandising and its impact on overall revenue, with periodic evaluations and adjustments as necessary.
  • Achieve targeted revenue and expense goals while maximizing profitability within the sales department.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Ensure adherence to credit control procedures and the security of financial transactions.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hotel sales director.
  • Prior experience as a Sales and Marketing Director is essential.
  • Willingness to reside at the hotel for a duration of 6 months as part of the travel task force.
