Responsibilities- Prepare and Serve Coffee Drinks: Prepare various coffee drink orders for customers using standard measures and recipes.
- Operate Point of Sale System: Enter orders accurately into POS device; accept cash, room and charge payments.
- Maintain a Clean and Comfortable Environment: Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining the cleanliness of the service area.
- Provide Excellent Guest Service: Ability to interact with guests to assist in their menu selections. Complete and thorough knowledge of all menu items is required, including ingredients and preparation of menu items.
- Adhere to Hotel Training Regulations: Adhere to hotel training regulations and procedures.
- Multitask and Prioritize Tasks: Ability to multitask and prioritize those tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with Special Requests: Be knowledgeable of the menu and able to assist guests with special dietary restrictions and or allergies. Able to handle special requests of guests as well.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of all current and new equipment in the work area.
- Comply with Accounting Guidelines: Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, check total verification, tip disbursement, cash drawer, and house bank management.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year of service in the hospitality industry, preferably, experience as a server or guest service.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal experience.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to operate the point of service system to process transactions and collect payment. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a POS system, make change, count a cash drawer, and prepare cash drops.
- Independence and Supervision: Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Certification: Current certification in ServSafe or other nationally recognized Food Handler Program or able to obtain upon being hired.
- Physical Requirements: Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, or crouching. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
This is a part-time/full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $15.00. The schedule includes holidays and weekend availability.
