Cloud Security Compliance Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Security Engineer to join our team at OrangePeople. Are you passionate about ensuring the security and compliance of cloud environments? In this role, you will collaborate with leading organizations to enhance their security posture while managing the intersection of cloud-based and on-premises systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and uphold policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the execution of special projects related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Work alongside engineering and regulatory teams to interpret and apply technical requirements effectively.
  • Contribute to architectural design sessions, providing technical guidance while considering GRC needs.
  • Engage in audits and assessments, identifying gaps and developing solutions to address them. You may lead implementation teams or take a hands-on approach to solution development.
  • Act as a key participant in technical reviews during Third-Party Assessment processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of compliance and governance trends, including new regulations and industry standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in information security compliance, risk management, or auditing.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, controls, and regulations.
  • Experience in enterprise-level GRC projects with validated applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while engaging various stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with cloud security compliance controls, particularly in AWS.
  • Proven ability to understand compliance assessments and implement necessary remediations.
  • Strong collaborative skills to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISM, CISA, GIAC).
  • Experience with audit and compliance management tools in modern data environments.
  • Innovative mindset with an agile approach to governance and design thinking.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
