Role Overview:

The Compliance and Security Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that organizational policies and procedures are effectively implemented and sustained to meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the execution of special initiatives related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities as designated.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and regulatory compliance units to interpret and apply technical specifications.
  • Contribute as a technical advisor during architectural design discussions and proof of concept sessions, ensuring GRC requirements are integrated into architecture diagrams.
  • Engage in audits and assessments, aiding in the identification of compliance gaps and assisting in the development of remediation strategies. This role may involve supervising an implementation team or directly executing solutions.
  • Act as a primary participant in technical evaluations during Third-Party Assessment Review processes.
  • Maintain a current and comprehensive understanding of the compliance and governance landscape, including updates on regulations, Information Security standards, and industry best practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security compliance, risk management, or audit roles.
  • Proficient knowledge of compliance frameworks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in participating in enterprise-level GRC projects with validated applications in both business and technical contexts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while engaging various stakeholders and ensuring accountability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with cloud security compliance controls, particularly in AWS environments.
  • Proven ability to understand compliance assessments and implement necessary remediations.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with a focus on developing and maintaining effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISM, CISA, GIAC).
  • Familiarity with audit and compliance management tools (e.g., Alation, BigID, Immuta, Anomalo) in advanced data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
  • An innovative mindset with an agile approach to governance, emphasizing design thinking and flexibility in implementation.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
