Job Title: Labor Coalition Engagement Manager
Reports to: Coordinated Deputy Political Director
Salary: $72,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package
Location: Milwaukee, WI

In the upcoming election cycle, WisDems will spearhead extensive efforts to uphold the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate, support the re-election of key candidates, and foster volunteer-led coalitions aimed at long-term community engagement. Position Overview: As the Labor Coalition Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and sustaining long-term programs designed to empower underrepresented communities during the election cycle. Your responsibilities will include reaching out to established networks, engaging new stakeholders, organizing coalition events, and representing WisDems at community gatherings. The ultimate goal is to foster sustained engagement and activism through our labor coalition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies focused on the Labor coalition, engaging workers statewide.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinated Deputy Political Director to identify effective organizing practices tailored to specific communities.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with community leaders to strengthen partnerships.
  • Support constituency Caucuses and lead efforts to recruit and cultivate volunteer leadership within assigned Coalitions.
  • Engage with labor leaders and members through participation in training sessions, worksite visits, and various events.
  • Organize Voter Education Events to enhance relationships and involve new community members.
  • Boost Democratic visibility and engagement through canvassing and participation in community events.
  • Advise on and execute relational organizing and volunteer recruitment strategies, both in-person and online.
  • Work alongside the Organizing Department to set up phone banks and community canvassing efforts.
  • Maintain organized statewide contact lists for outreach and engagement purposes.
  • Actively seek to incorporate historically marginalized voices into programming and policy initiatives.
  • Prepare context for memos and briefings for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee direct reports, supporting their professional growth through coaching, feedback, and fostering an inclusive team culture.
  • Be prepared to work outside of standard hours during peak election periods.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience in outreach for political campaigns, governmental agencies, non-profits, or community organizations.
