Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional communication with customers through phone, in-person, and written correspondence that reflects the company's values and culture.
  • Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor and identify their needs, whether it be inquiries, orders, or other assistance.
  • Process orders at the sales counter and via phone.
  • Complete sales transactions and handle cash sales efficiently.
  • Utilize the company’s computer system to accurately enter orders.
  • Enhance product knowledge to better assist customers in their purchasing decisions.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers to encourage loyalty.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked showroom environment.
  • Highlight product and service features, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and reports.
  • Recognize when to escalate customer inquiries to the appropriate sales personnel for further assistance.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A two (2) or four (4) year degree is preferred.

Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and proactivity.
  • Comfortable interacting with the public.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional computer proficiency.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the shift.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
  • Ability to operate basic office machinery.
  • Work consistently in an office environment.

Mental Requirements:

  • Capable of problem-solving and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Ability to manage stress related to various tasks.
  • Skilled in multitasking.
  • Adept at receiving and analyzing information.
  • Quickly communicate solutions when issues arise.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making.
