The IT Systems Support Specialist will collaborate with teams or work autonomously to deliver daily assistance for Venturedyne's computing and technological needs. This role encompasses the installation, documentation, and evaluation of computer systems and peripherals, adhering to established protocols and standards. The Specialist may be tasked with providing initial-level support to end-users. This position involves personalized consultancy for employees regarding the effective use and operation of hardware and software technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Conduct on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of computer-related issues for end users, recommending and implementing corrective measures, including off-site repairs for remote personnel as necessary.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations along with associated hardware and software.
- Assist the infrastructure team with technology installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, cleaning, and upgrades on office computers.
- Problem-solving across a wide range of technologies and solutions will be a critical aspect of this role.
- Work collaboratively with staff to diagnose and resolve technology-related issues; report and escalate urgent matters as needed.
- Respond to incoming inquiries via calls, service desk tickets, or emails regarding equipment incidents.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on support requests.
- Ensure adherence to hardware and software standards.
- Physically set up, configure, and test computers, peripherals, and software, ensuring proper functionality.
- Create and deploy software distribution packages or images for computer applications.
- Develop support procedures, technical documentation, and other related materials in line with established standards.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting computers and printers.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic network issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to acquire new skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of experience in maintaining IT infrastructure.
- Possession of any of the following CompTIA Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+.
- Proficiency in configuring Windows desktops and laptops.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Active Directory.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices.
- Familiarity with backup, restore, and monitoring processes.
