Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for collecting and managing billing information, calculating charges, and preparing invoices for financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determines costs associated with products, services, and their delivery.
- Ensures the precision of billing information, rectifying any discrepancies.
- Prepares detailed statements, invoices, and other essential billing documents, which may involve calculating credit terms, shipping fees, discounts, and product costs.
- Records amounts owed for products acquired or services provided.
- Conducts general bookkeeping tasks, which may include data entry and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents for amounts owed.
- Generates shipping labels and necessary billing documentation.
- Communicates with clients to obtain, verify, and update account details as needed.
- Undertakes additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fundamental knowledge of clerical and administrative processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Capable of resolving issues as they arise.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Associate's degree or vocational training is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary.
