Position Overview

Job Title: Director of Activism

Reports to: VP of Communications

Live Action is seeking a dedicated individual actively involved in the pro-life movement to lead our Grassroots Activism Program. This role is pivotal in recruiting and training pro-life advocates across the nation, aiming to secure full legal protections for preborn children and to educate communities about the realities of abortion.

The Director of Activism will manage the Program, developing and executing strategic initiatives to empower volunteers in grassroots activism against the abortion industry. This position involves overseeing the recruitment and training of Ambassadors, coordinating events, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication Management: Maintain proactive communication with Live Action Ambassadors and regional partners, focusing on recruitment, training, and mobilization of volunteers.
  • Strategic Development: Create and implement tools to enhance communication and resource distribution among Ambassadors and partners.
  • Performance Reporting: Identify and track key metrics to assess departmental growth and progress towards goals, providing regular updates to the Executive Team.
  • Partnership Building: Cultivate and manage relationships with local and national leaders to amplify the organization's impact.
  • Content Collaboration: Work with content creators to develop training materials and campaign resources for Ambassadors.
  • Industry Research: Stay informed about the abortion landscape and identify opportunities for impactful advocacy.
  • Event Coordination: Organize training and community-building events at local and national levels.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to the pro-life mission.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in grassroots activism and partnership development.
  • Experience in managing teams is preferred.
  • Knowledge of 501(c)(3) regulations regarding political campaigning and advocacy.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in media and social media strategies with a focus on pro-life messaging.
  • Politically informed and aware of current issues affecting abortion rights.
  • Self-motivated and capable of building strategic relationships independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in major business software applications; experience with Hubspot is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
