About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at ComingUp Creative. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various industries.
    • Develop and execute strategies to attract new clients and expand existing relationships.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and client needs.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and partners.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business goals and marketing needs.
    • Represent ComingUp Creative at industry events and conferences to generate leads.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and pitches.
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of proposals to prospective clients.
    • Develop and implement effective business development plans to achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets.
  • Negotiation and Closing:
    • Lead negotiations and close deals with new clients.
    • Ensure contracts and agreements are finalized in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and report on the progress of business development initiatives.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Identify opportunities to expand our presence in new markets or industries.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enter and succeed in these markets.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and successful delivery of client campaigns.
    • Provide feedback and insights to improve service offerings and client satisfaction.
  • Pipeline Management:
    • Create and manage a qualified pipeline of leads and prospects.
    • Maintain personal projections on a quarterly and annual basis.
    • Track progress utilizing our CRM and other tracking tools on a weekly basis.
  • Client Insights:
    • Collect insights into clients' organizational structures, marketing strategies, and target demographics.
    • Participate in weekly meetings, proposal meetings, product trainings, and one-on-ones.
  • Account Reviews:
    • Spearhead quarterly account reviews with clients.
    • Work closely with account management teams and marketing to meet client objectives and exceed client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the advertising, media buying, social media, influencer marketing, or creative services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing new clients.
  • Strong understanding of advertising, social media, influencer marketing, content creation, creative development, and media buying processes, tools, and trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and understanding deal flow, planning cycles, and buying signals.
  • Creative strategist with a knack for forging new connections.
  • Strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Working knowledge of CRMs and marketing technology.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • A strong track record of steering a $5-$10M portfolio.
  • Proactive self-starter with experience in the creator economy, with Fortune 1000 clients.
  • Quantifiable client expansion and retention experience.
  • Ability to ignite cross-functional teams, producing the best value for clients through inspirational leadership and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
