Responsibilities

As an Automotive Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Approaching, greeting, and offering assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Assisting customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explaining product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
  • Describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Building strong rapport with customers.
  • Performing high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles.
  • Learning to overcome objections, close sales, and performing all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
  • Reporting to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analysis.
  • Preparing sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
  • Following up with customer purchases to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining a prospect development system.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous dealership experience (a huge plus)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (a plus)
  • Comfortable with compensation based on commission sales
  • Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
  • Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections & negotiating pricing
  • Quality customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Internet, email, and computer literate
  • Professional personal appearance
  • A clean and valid driver's license
  • A willingness to submit to a drug screen prior to employment
  • A minimum high school diploma or GED
