Lease Portfolio Administrator Role at BJ's Wholesale Club

The successful applicant will join the Shared Services team at BJ's Wholesale Club to manage the company's lease portfolio. Responsibilities include communication with landlords, lease administration providers, and internal teams. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the integrity of lease information. The ideal candidate will have lease administration experience and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with lease administration provider to ensure accuracy of lease information and compliance with company policies.
  • Review and approve monthly rent payments for multiple lease agreements, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Track and follow up on payments due from subleased properties, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Maintain relationships with landlords and occupants, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal departments to resolve landlord-tenant issues, ensuring a collaborative and effective approach.
  • Respond to audit requests related to lease administration controls, demonstrating a strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research to address landlord and stakeholder inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Oversee annual landlord CAM reconciliations and property ownership changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as necessary in lease administration, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Lease Administration, with a strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, with a focus on real estate or finance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
