About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Depot APG Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft systems and powerplants
  • Repair and overhaul aircraft systems and powerplants
  • Modify aircraft systems and powerplants as required
  • Comprehend and interpret technical documents, including safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft
  • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area
  • Properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience on fighter aircraft, or other military aircraft on various aircraft systems operation to include landing gear, flight controls, disassembly, re-assembly, rigging, powerplant, aircraft ground operations, and the flight line environment
  • F-16 Crew Chief Experience USAF level 5 or higher
  • Heavy Aircraft Mod or Depot Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • High school education or equivalent (GED)

Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 4x10 hour day schedule, with 3 days off per week.
