The Avionics Technician for the F-16 Production Flightline at Lockheed Martin Greenville Production Flightline Team will play a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving issues related to electrical harnesses and wiring. This position encompasses system evaluations, soldering, and termination tasks. The technician will also be involved in the installation of electrical harnesses, conducting post-modification assessments, and repairing both electrical and avionics systems on aircraft. Furthermore, the technician will support flight line operations, including launch and recovery tasks, as well as preflight and post-flight inspections and maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and verify the functionality of electrical harnesses
- Diagnose and repair electrical and avionics systems
- Support flight line maintenance activities
- Conduct thorough preflight and post-flight inspections
- Manage COMMSEC responsibilities and participate in the Hydrazine response team
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the operational testing of electronic systems and equipment
- Experience with legacy fighter aircraft flightline operations
- Proficient in interpreting complex circuit diagrams and specifications
- Prior experience in troubleshooting aircraft avionics or electrical systems
Preferred Skills:
- Military flightline experience with F-16 aircraft is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electrical, radio, and radar testing instruments
- Knowledge of aircraft modification installation and wire harness techniques
Security Clearance: This role necessitates a government security clearance.
