Overview

We are in search of a skilled and seasoned Geotechnical Engineer at a senior level to enhance our expanding practice.

This pivotal role presents an exceptional chance to lead significant projects, manage risks effectively, and broaden your impact as our organization progresses.

You will be part of a robust team and work collaboratively with a large network of professionals across the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the geotechnical operations in Northern California, managing major project initiatives and implementing effective risk management protocols.
  • Collaborate with leads in geology and geotechnical disciplines, along with other technical teams statewide to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Drive business development through strategic client engagement and relationship management, particularly in the public sector.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule with limited travel, primarily within California and occasionally beyond as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensed Geotechnical Engineer (GE) in California.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience with a proven history of leading complex projects and teams.
  • Expertise in seismic analysis, design, and retrofitting techniques.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and industry peers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with government agency projects/contracts, including water/wastewater, state and local agencies, school districts, energy/power, and transportation, with a solid grasp of industry trends and client needs.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
  • Experience with levees and dams is advantageous.
