Job Summary

The Civil Design Section is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to provide support and additional bandwidth for new and upcoming work. The successful candidate will lead and manage multi-disciplinary projects, work with and mentor mid and junior engineers, and lead the preparation of contract documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary projects, including civil design and construction.
  • Work with and mentor mid and junior engineers to ensure the success of projects.
  • Lead the preparation of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Develop and lead the development of plan drawings, technical specifications, design documentation reports, bid quantities, and construction cost estimates.
  • Redline plan drawings and coordinate with AutoCAD drafters and Civil 3D designers.
  • Perform site visits to confirm field conditions.
  • Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements with limited or no specific code-based guidance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project management and leadership.
  • Professional registration or license in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience preparing designs utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Field experience related to civil construction.
  • Experience related to water resources projects.
  • Experience related to design of canals.
