Scope of Services:
The advanced business analyst plays a crucial role within a full lifecycle agile development team. This position requires collaboration across various business units to conduct comprehensive business and systems analysis activities. The analyst will oversee development team tasks and work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to guarantee that requirements are meticulously documented, tested, and fulfilled. The role involves analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing solutions in conjunction with team members.
Education:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field is essential. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience: A minimum of two years of substantial business/systems analysis experience and involvement in software development projects is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is necessary. Expertise in transforming Business Requirements into Use Cases, Process Diagrams, Test Cases, and other analytical documentation is required. Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with development teams for clear understanding of Business Requirements and bug identification is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps is mandatory. Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes is highly desirable. Certification as a Business Analysis Professional (BAP) or Scrum Master (SCM) is preferred. Experience in directing and managing project resources is advantageous. Understanding of change and release management processes is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus. Primary Job Duties/Tasks:
The responsibilities of the candidates will encompass, but are not limited to, the following: Researching and comprehending client business processes and their interconnections. Facilitating collaborative analysis workshops with business units. Gathering and documenting both business and technical requirements. Coordinating and leading development team activities in partnership with Project Managers and Architects. Developing requirements documentation, including Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrices, and Test Plans. Overseeing User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing. Tracking bugs and backlog items utilizing Microsoft DevOps. Providing regular updates to the Project Management Team. Conducting oversight reviews of deliverables to ensure compliance with departmental standards. Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to apply specific knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: Business Analysis: Capability to perform detailed research, business analysis, as-is and to-be analysis, and process modeling using various software tools. System Analysis & Design: Proficiency in System Analysis & Design employing diverse modeling methodologies and techniques. Facilitation: Expertise in facilitating workshops and meetings with stakeholders. Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and software development practices. Additional: Advanced skills in Microsoft products: SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Ability to understand stakeholders' needs, document their requirements, and perform tasks independently when necessary. Capacity to receive and provide constructive feedback while maintaining effective working relationships. Adaptability to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse assignments.
