Key Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a Business Process Consultant to contribute to our diverse team of professionals.

This role involves collaborating with the Division of Food Safety to enhance existing capabilities by aiding in the planning, design, development, and execution of information technology initiatives.

Daily Duties Include:
  • Enhancing business unit performance through improved alignment of business processes with information technology.
  • Addressing daily technological requirements of the business unit, focusing on process analysis, problem dissection, and solution recommendations, including complex systems analysis and design.
  • Understanding technical challenges and solutions in the context of both current and future business landscapes, and proposing integration plans for new and existing processes.
  • Contributing to the planning and prioritization of business process engineering activities, including the development of the business unit's process engineering strategy and its integration with corporate objectives.
  • Utilizing knowledge and experience in both IT solutions and business process enhancements.
  • Engaging in ongoing reviews and updates to ensure processes adapt to evolving business conditions, identifying areas for improvement, documenting current processes, analyzing gaps, designing new processes, establishing performance metrics, and planning transitions to new processes.
  • Providing guidance and leadership on the future application of technology and business process enhancements.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 12 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check.
  • Experience in conducting business analysis for IT projects.
  • Experience in managing large-scale software development initiatives.
  • Proficiency in creating process model diagrams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with staff at various levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in business process re-engineering.
  • Ability to derive business process and data requirements from process and system documentation analysis.
  • Experience in translating information from meetings and written materials into process models and flow diagrams.

Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000, reflecting the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
