Scope of Services:
The advanced business analyst plays a crucial role within a comprehensive agile development team. This position requires collaboration across various business units to execute business and systems analysis tasks effectively. The analyst will oversee development team activities and engage directly with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to guarantee thorough documentation, testing, and fulfillment of requirements. The role involves working alongside team members to analyze, design, implement, and validate solutions.
Education:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field is essential. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience: A minimum of two years of substantial experience in business/systems analysis and software development projects is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is necessary. Expertise in transforming Business Requirements into Use Cases, Process Diagrams, Test Cases, and other analytical documentation is required. Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with development teams for clear understanding of Business Requirements and bug identification is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps is mandatory. Knowledge of Rules GG- – GG-, Florida Administrative Code, is highly preferred. Certification as a Business Analysis Professional (BAP) or Certified Scrum Master (SCM) is highly desirable. Experience in directing and managing project resources is advantageous. Understanding of change and release management is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus. Primary Job Duties/Tasks:
The responsibilities of the candidates will encompass, but are not limited to, the following: Research and comprehend client business processes and their interconnections. Facilitate collaborative analysis workshops with business units. Collect and document both business and technical requirements. Coordinate and lead development team activities in collaboration with the Project Manager and Architects. Develop requirements documentation, including Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Test Plans, etc. Oversee User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing. Track bugs and backlog items utilizing Microsoft DevOps. Provide regular updates to the Project Management Team. Conduct oversight reviews of deliverables to ensure compliance with departmental standards. Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Candidates must demonstrate specific knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: Business Analysis: Capability to conduct detailed research, business analysis, as-is and to-be analysis, and process modeling. Proficiency in software tools, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and SmartDraw, is required. System Analysis & Design: Ability to perform System Analysis & Design using various modeling methodologies and techniques. Facilitation: Expertise in facilitating workshops and meetings with stakeholders. Technical Understanding: Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development practices and techniques.
