About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team at Myriad Genetics. As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the women's health market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell our portfolio of molecular genetic tests to obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare providers in your assigned territory.
  • Provide education on Myriad science, research, and precision medicine to healthcare providers and office staff.
  • Work with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition and delivery.
  • Deliver local talks and arrange peer-to-peer programs to groups interested in learning more about our products.
  • Coordinate with local health plans to ensure our products are covered and reimbursed.
  • Meet expense budget and administrative requirements.
  • Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning, including target accounts, frequency of calls, and messaging.
  • Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information.
  • Attend regional meetings and Women's Health conferences as planned.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree required, ideally in a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare selling arena, with a focus on women's health, bio-pharma, molecular diagnostics, or capital equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Documented successful track record in sales, with a history of being a top-level performer in prior roles.
  • Proven ability to manage increasing responsibility and sustain growth.
  • In-depth product knowledge and knowledge of disease states in the current field of expertise.
  • Ability to travel and do overnights as needed.
  • Models the consultative sales approach and is recognized by others for excellent selling and presentation skills.
  • Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges using problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues.
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
  • Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct.
  • Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values despite pressure to make sales.
  • Uses discretion and professionalism when handling patient and physician information and documentation.
  • Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient.
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • Systems and Software - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and CRM, preferably Salesforce.
