Job Summary

The Senior Project Control Specialist is responsible for implementing and executing project controls related work on strategic IT projects. This includes scheduling and cost functions from planning to final project close-out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with Project Management and department teams on project execution and administration.
  • Lead project controls related items, including compliance with contractual terms.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project estimates and forecasts, reflecting current risks and contingencies.
  • Monitor and communicate cost performance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review change order requests, incorporating approved changes into project forecasts.
  • Coordinate with corporate accounting and finance to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Build and maintain detailed Owner's schedules.
  • Perform routine reviews of contractor schedule submittals, validating accuracy and compliance with contractual dates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, technical, engineering, project management, or related area.
  • 15+ years of experience as a Project Manager/Project Controls for large scale IT/Software projects.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Project scheduling software and other scheduling tools.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems and commercial contracts.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
