Position Summary

The Automation Engineer II will be responsible for the design, budgeting, and management of engineered control systems installations for both capital and continuous improvement projects aimed at modernizing plant operations. This role includes providing technical support to plant technicians and engineers in diagnosing electrical issues, determining necessary repairs, and eliminating the root causes of malfunctions affecting Connected Enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety is prioritized in all workplace and project environments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ladder logic and various PLC programming languages, along with troubleshooting skills for field control devices such as motors, relays, and switches.
  • Manage projects that encompass budgeting, design, installation oversight, and spare parts procurement.
  • Develop and enhance PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Support site OEE objectives by procuring and providing asset and auxiliary values.
  • Analyze Connected Enterprise platforms to identify and resolve system performance issues.
  • Research and implement innovative manufacturing methods and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
  • Design, maintain, and modify instrumentation and control systems.
  • Actively contribute to the setup and commissioning of control systems and provide training to relevant team members.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field, with expertise in Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell PLC Programming.

Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel may be required.

Work Environment: Primarily in-office/on-site (4+ days a week).
