Job Summary:
The Manufacturing and Process Optimization Engineer will be responsible for maximizing resources and achieving safety and efficiency in assembly and fabrication areas at Saylite. This role involves proposing and implementing best practices in these departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing - Automation:
- Identify and implement manufacturing improvements, automation, and process enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Prioritize cost-saving projects and work with leads to develop improvement plans.
- Manufacturing - Safety:
- Inspect work areas for hazards and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with Maintenance for safe work practices and develop Emergency Action Plans.
- Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Manufacturing - Design:
- Support Engineering with design work and safety considerations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
- Lean Tools knowledge preferred.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Project Management skills are a plus.
- Good communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- CAD Experience, SolidWorks knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity required.
