Job Opportunity

The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a dynamic and motivated Adjunct Phlebotomy Non-Credit Instructor to join our team. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to engage and educate our diverse student population in the Health Care Ancillaries/Vocational Education discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of courses within the Health Care Ancillaries/Vocational Education discipline, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
  • Collaborate with students, staff, faculty, and administrators to achieve academic and professional goals.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students and the community.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed or certified in California with one of the following: Physician and surgeon (MD or DO), Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), Person licensed under Chapter 3 of the California Business and Professions Code, Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with 2 years' experience in the previous 5 years, or Certified Phlebotomy technician (CPT I or CPT II) with 3 years of experience in the previous 5 years.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, which must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment; OR Associate's degree and six years of professional experience, which must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
  • A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption.
Compensation

The salary schedule for adjunct noncredit classroom instructors begins at $79.20 per standard hour. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
