Job Opportunity

The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a dynamic and motivated Adjunct Instructor to teach Photography courses at one of our nine colleges. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to engage and educate our diverse student population, promoting inclusive educational environments that support student learning.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Photography courses, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
  • Collaborate with students, staff, faculty, and administrators to achieve academic and professional goals.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the college's mission and goals.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above fields and a Master's degree in History or Humanities.
  • A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Eligibility

Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustees' Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated, or have an approved exemption.

Compensation

The salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $85.09 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $19.91 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
