Job Summary

The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Nursing Instructor to teach medical/surgical nursing courses. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be able to design and deliver engaging learning experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach part-time load of nursing theory and/or clinical courses
  • Design and deliver interactive learning environments
  • Collaborate with staff and administrators to create innovative educational experiences
  • Assist in program planning and peer evaluation
  • Participate in professional growth and development activities
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • At least one year of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years
  • Current California RN License
  • Strong background in medical-surgical nursing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students
Compensation

The salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $85.09 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $19.91 per hour for classroom assignments.

Selection Procedure
