Overview

Florida Digestive Health Specialists LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing our financial operations, including accounting, bookkeeping, and revenue cycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations
    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Process accounts payable and receivable, including expense reports and vendor invoices.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
    • Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure all financial records are in compliance.
  • Revenue Cycle Management
    • Oversee billing and collection processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
    • Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
    • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure accurate coding and documentation of patient services.
    • Manage patient billing inquiries and resolve disputes related to insurance claims and payments.
    • Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
