We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving and preserving sight. Our team is passionate about our mission and values, and we are seeking a part-time Human Resources Coordinator to carry out day-to-day HR functions.

Job Description

This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team and make a meaningful contribution to our mission. As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruiting and Onboarding: Assist with the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of all new employees and volunteers
  • Community Outreach: Work with community organizations to recruit new employees and volunteers
  • Internal Communication: Communicate with departments to identify opportunities and needs for volunteers
  • Serve as Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for all volunteers
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with annual open enrollment elections for benefits
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform basic accounting tasks and serve as backup for payroll processing
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and volunteer records
Requirements
  • Proven work experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent customer service skills, including written, verbal, and computer skills
  • Basic accounting and payroll processing skills
  • A high degree of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • Valid driver's license in the Metro area (DC, MD, VA)
  • High school diploma or higher. Bachelor's Degree a plus
  • 4 or more years of experience in Human Resources
Compensation

The estimated hourly rate for this part-time role is $28-$30 per hour, which translates to an annual salary range of $56,640 - $62,400 based on a 20-hour workweek.
