About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Meetings and Events Manager to join our team at the American Heart Association. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for planning and executing high-profile meetings and events that align with our organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all meeting logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution
  • Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and itineraries
  • Collaborate with program staff to review meeting requirements and ensure all needs are met
  • Communicate planning deadlines and updates to stakeholders
  • Assist with on-site meeting management and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience in convention planning, administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of meeting planning technology and software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel overnight approximately 20-30% of the time
