Job Title: Inventory/Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Winsupply Austin TX Co is a dynamic and growing local wholesaler in a multi-billion dollar industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory/Shipping & Receiving Specialist.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate inventory counting, identification, documentation, and storage. The successful candidate will work closely with all company personnel and vendors to maintain inventory accuracy and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily inventory cycle counting and research inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor the "out of stock" whiteboard and adjust items as needed.
  • Examine incoming shipments, record shortages, overages, damages, or any discrepancies on receiving documentation. Identify damaged freight and create freight claims with the shipper. Communicate errors, shortages, damage, etc. to the vendor.
  • Pull, tag, and stage outgoing orders for delivery or will call.
  • Assist with vendor warranties and returns to ensure that items are promptly returned to the vendor for credit/replacement.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the warehouses and counter area. Ensure that items are being stocked in the correct places.
  • Maintain bin locations and ensure that items are labeled.
  • Monitor Negative Stock Status reports to research and correct on-hand quantities.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, and rearranged shelving/racks to maximize storage as needed.
  • Assist the President/Manager with other duties, as he/she may deem necessary.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-year inventory or receiving experience preferred.
  • Detail-Oriented – Ability to catch the smallest discrepancies and the drive for accuracy and organization.
  • A highly motivated, proactive person who sees what needs to be done and takes care of it.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs (email, Excel, Word).
Physical Demands:
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle material weighing up to 50 pounds.
