Job Title: Facility and Inventory Specialist

Join the Texas Education Agency as a Facility and Inventory Specialist, where you will play a critical role in supporting the agency's logistical operations. As a key member of the Agency Services team, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing various agency support functions, including mail processing, property, asset, and staff relocation, receiving, inventory and storage support, and coordination of building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and perform mail processing, property, asset, and staff relocation, receiving, inventory and storage support, and coordination of building maintenance.
  • Disseminate information, maintain files and inventory systems, develop operational reports, and provide general support work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and may train others.
  • Work collaboratively with others to resolve related issues and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in logistical operations support activities, move management, and related duties.
  • Ability to work hours other than 8 to 5, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting supplies and materials and lifting boxes, furniture, modular furniture components, and other office equipment.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, the Asset Management, Inventory and/or Purchasing modules in the Centralize Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS), and TxFS, strongly preferred.
