Position Summary

The Nutritional Services Manager oversees the foodservice program to ensure compliance with food quality standards and safety regulations, adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as our established policies and procedures to deliver quality dining services.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintaining accurate records of income, expenditures, food, supplies, personnel, and equipment for reporting to management.
Training
  • Responsible for training and quality control, ensuring staff meet HCSG standards, including regular kitchen assessments.
Communication
Effectively relay directives from client managers and administrators to HCSG staff.
Safety Protocols
Utilize protective gear and adhere to safety precautions while reporting any equipment or product needs to supervisors promptly. Ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation procedures.
Punctuality
Maintain consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Customer and Resident Experience
Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions while performing routine tasks. An associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality is preferred, along with specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition.

Successful completion of an approved Food Protection Manager course is required within the first 14 days of employment. Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is also necessary, along with two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.

Basic computer skills are required for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in a food service environment.
