Role Overview:
As a Corrugated Production Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production machinery. This includes setup, operation, cleanup, and suggesting enhancements to processes to fulfill customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety at all times, adhering to Pratt Industries' safety protocols and encouraging co-workers to do the same.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) consistently.
- Understand and apply Pratt Industries' quality standards to prevent defective products from reaching customers.
- Optimize equipment usage by operating machinery at maximum capacity and efficiency, while addressing mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to eliminate hazards.
- Gain knowledge of machine capabilities to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
- Assist in training new operators and support team members in their roles.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately and on time, including production and safety reports.
- Proactively report maintenance needs for machinery.
- Adapt to various roles within the plant to support operational growth.
- Comply with all company policies and production schedules.
- Be prepared to work overtime as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred candidates will have prior experience in the packaging sector or manufacturing environments.
Skills Required:
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in basic math and measurement.
- Strong problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate effectively. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a loud environment with exposure to moving machinery.
